چکیده

Abstract We discuss the relation between the effective vector meson mass and equation of state (EOS) for nuclear matter. In the mean field approximation, the EOS becomes softer due to the reduction of the effective ω-meson mass, if we assume that the ω-meson mean field is proportional to the baryon density. We examine the assumption by using the auxiliary field method at finite temperature and /or density.

We utilize lattice simulations of the dimensionally reduced effective field theory (EQCD) to determine the quark number susceptibility of QCD at high temperature (T > 2T c). We also use analytic continuation to obtain results at finite density. The results extrapolate well from known perturbative expansion (accurate in extremely high temperatures) to 4d lower temperature lattice data.

The finite temperature QCD transition for physical quark masses is a crossover. For smaller quark masses a first-order phase transition is expected. Using Symanzik improved gauge and stout improved fermion action for 2+1 flavour staggered QCD we give estimates/bounds for the phase line separating the first-order region from the crossover one. The calculations are carried out on two different la...

We construct hyper-homology spectral sequences of Z-graded and RO(G)-graded Mackey functors for Ext and Tor over G-equivariant S-algebras (A∞ ring spectra) for finite groups G. These specialize to universal coefficient and Künneth spectral sequences.
